As a result of Fr. Giuliano’s recent illness and hospitalization, the priests who came to help us for weekend Masses both expressed that it was not reasonable to expect one priest to celebrate 3 Masses each Sunday (in addition to the Saturday Vigil Mass). Sometimes it is difficult for people to understand how hard it is for a priest to celebrate multiple Masses. Recent events have been something of a wakeup call for all of us, and it seemed to be a good time to reevaluate our schedule. We have decided to change the Sunday schedule and reduce the number of Masses. Given the attendance at the various Masses, instead of three English Masses and one Spanish Mass each weekend, we will move to two English Masses, and one Spanish Mass each weekend. The time of the Vigil Mass will remain the same (5 PM, Saturday). Beginning December 24th, English Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM every Sunday morning instead of 8 & 10:30. Mass will be celebrated in Spanish at 11:30 AM each Sunday instead of 12:30. As a result of this change, in January our religious education classes (PREP) will begin at 10 AM and end at 11 every Sunday morning. We appreciate that this may be an inconvenience for some. Naturally it is never possible to please everyone. We hope that some people will decide to celebrate with us at the Saturday vigil instead of Sunday morning. We do know that there will be sufficient room in one Mass to hold all of those who are presently coming at 8 and 10:30. We are grateful for your cooperation and understanding, and we ask you to pray that our diocese will be blessed with more vocations to the priesthood.

we are called to herald the good news

We must be mindful that we are ambassadors

Following the example of Jesus,
we are to be servants to the Lord
in the tradition handed down to us
by the first disciples.

The Stations of the Cross were originally erected in the small St. Mary's Church on Pine Street in 1945. When the new church was built in 1948 and dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, they were installed there. They were replaced by the present Stations in 1953 and stored away. After 67 years in storage, they were restored and erected in our chapel in 2020.
The pews were used in the old rectory chapel.
